The Firm advises institutional acquirers, catalog owners, and music companies on catalog and company transactions, and invests as a principal alongside them. Advisory and principal investing are distinct lines of one firm.
The Firm was founded in 2020 as a principal investor in music rights and has acquired, administered, and sold copyright catalogs as a principal. Client mandates are underwritten to the standard the Firm applied as an owner.
Its founding partners are operators. They have built and sold companies, and have led the finance and legal functions that close transactions and administer rights after closing. Leadership and senior advisors bring more than 300 years of combined experience across music, media, technology, finance, law, and private equity, including senior roles at Universal Music Group, Interscope Geffen A&M Records, Def Jam Recordings, BMG Music Publishing, Corus Entertainment, Vulcan Inc., Acacia Research, Grant Thornton, SpaceX, and Wacom Technology.
